So I have not written on my blogspot in a hecka long time, time for a little life re-cap. Brayden and I have broken up...enough about that ha. Classes are going well and ending soon. Homework, work at the Student Union, work at Joyful Spirit and my internship at the Paladin keep me very busy. I have one week of classes left, and then finals and then... MORE SCHOOL!
I am staying for 2 summer terms: May and June. In May I will be taking a class called America and The Enlightenment taught by Professor Knight (who Ive heard is very good, Im excited for that!) and in June I will be taking Jogging. These are two GE's that will be helpful to get out of the way. Next fall I have a super busy schedule, Im so excited for that though because I love being busy. I will be taking Managerial Finance, Principles of Macroeconomics, Principles of Organization and Leadership, Volleyball, Astronomy, Newspaper and Teachings of the Living Prophets. This is a total of 17 credits if insitute will transfer again because it is a class I have previously taken, but the curriculum changes every semester based on General Conference. I will be continuing my position with The Paladin but it will not be an internship. Now that I know the ropes, I think it will be a lot more fun next semester. Im excited to continue using all the things that I have learned this semester and all the forms I made - it really feels like mine now.
I almost forgot the most exciting news - I have a house to live in for the summer and next year. It belongs to this guy who used to live here in Buena Vista. The girl I will be living with knows him and was able to get us the house for $300/month. Im really happy that I found somewhere to live off campus and that I can decorate and not have to have room checks and all that jazz.

School.
I wasnt sure exactly what I should title this but "School" works, since that is pretty much all I do. Classes have been going for about 2 weeks now, it seems so crazy to think that I started my 4th semester at SVU 2 weeks ago, but its true. All of my classes are fun, and pretty easy to handle except for that information technology one - I have a feeling that is going to be kind of hard as we get into it. I really love my institute class (Teachings of the Living Prophets), I don't know why I was so stubborn before to take one. We have moved to the new ward building that they built on our campus, its so nice to have our own ward building now. We start church there on February 1st and my ward moves from a 1pm start time to a 9am start time (more like home, but it will take some getting used to). We also have Relief Society first to allow another ward to have their meetings in the chapel and then we switch, I'm hoping I will still have the want to get up even though relief society is first. Besides that, I have decided to not become a Body Attack instructor. I kind of decided this towards the end of Christmas break and thought that it would allow me more time for my internship and that is exactly what has happened. I really don't know how I would have balanced it all now seeing as I do not have that much free time now and that is without Body Attack (though I really cannot wait until classes start). My internship, with the school's newspaper, got off to a rocky start (we could not find any of our money... anywhere!), but is now smoothing out. I have to make a lot of different forms and contracts for advertisements and such for the business and those I work with in newspaper. It is really fun, and I hope to do the same thing next semester(...and maybe the semester after that as well) Other than classes, church, and my internship not much else is happening. I have met some new students and made a few new friends, and I will have to post pictures from the disney themed welcome back dance (I was Gabriella from HSM, Mallory was Kelsi, Rika was Sharpay, and Nate Pence made my week by actually coming dressed up as Ryan) but for now... I think I'll take a nap before institute :-)

Back to School
I'm here! I'm home! I am almost unpacked! Ha its taken so long to unpack everything, there are still things that I just havent decided where they should go. Its going to take all day, thats for sure. I still have to get a refrigerator and maybe a microwave but I have a good feeling about living in the dorms. I woke up this morning and haha I was happy to not be in carriage. Its weird but whatev. Ill post pictures once everything is organized and pretty looking :-)

Lame-Wad, I know
Okay so I am pretty sure that no one, and I mean no one, reads this so I guess no one really thinks I'm lame about not blogging but... me :-) Oh well. It has been a whole week! So much has happened. I've had a lot of dental work done (only one more appointment left), I've done SO much christmas shopping (and everyone loved their presents), I got presents (external hard drive, new sneakers for body attack, a vera bradley bag!!!.... I obviously liked mine) and I have one week left until I go back to school. This vacation went by very quickly, and luckily I have had time to spend with my dad, my nieces and nephews and friends back home. It was nice and I originally couldnt wait to get back to school but now... kinda dreading it. I have classes {Jogging, Microeconomics, Oil Painting, Statistics, Newspaper Staff, Information Technology}, An Internship :-) {with the school newspaper, the Paladin, as their Business Manager}, training for Body Attack {we have a two day training workshop, 9hrs each day!}, and Field Hockey. Am I wanting a death sentence? Apparently. Because I also work at the Student Union and have an institute class. According to my bishop though {and I agree} if I can take an institute class and put the Lord first, all other things will fall into place {I just hope I havent overloaded myself and still expect things to fall into place}
In order to make myself feel better about my schedule, I think Ill just break it down here. Classes are from 8-1:30 (that is the earliest class to the latest, not including newspaper, in general. Tuesdays and Thursdays I end earlier) Body Attack teaching does not start until the first week of February and classes are MWF 4-5 and TR 12-1 (which works perfectly with my schedule so I will have plenty of time to teach and it only takes an hour out of my day). Newspaper is 5-6 on T&R plus additional time on weekends to make them some money$$. Institute fits into my block of classes. Student Union I can opt to work the late shift (6:30-12 or 1 on fridays). Field Hockey looks like it will be earlier in the morning so we can get practice time on the nice fields the school just finished. SEE! It works :-)
Okay, now that I have made myself feel better about this, I think I'll go.... clean, or read a book, or maybe do some body attack (obsessed, i know)

Friday Happenings and Life at Home
Before I forget I really have to talk about the night before Mallory and I left. We were both very ready to get out of buena vista and the spring like climate - we wanted it to feel like december! I think we were both just a mix of excited for coming home, relieved that finals were over and we just wanted to kinda do whatever ha. So after I was checked into my new dorm in the lofts, we went to go visit our friend Bryce's Dad (Bryce was a friend of ours from last year. He was the assistant coach for the girls soccer team at SVU, and he was an RM that was just working and living with his mom and dad in BV. We spent a lot of down time at his house last year and got to know his parents really well. One day early this semester bryce texted me and was like oh my mom is in alaska. This was a complete shock to me and mallory because we had wanted to go visit his parents sometime but Sherry, his mom, was already gone. We saw his dad as we were moving me into the lofts and he wanted us to come down and say hi... ha sorry, long story!) and played with the girls, Sascha and Hannah, which are their dogs haha and had some cake. Then we went back up to the lofts so Mallory could get checked out for the break. We then decided to shower before bed so we could just get up and go in the morning. Well after being online for awhile (and showing her my blog) somehow we decided to splurge just a little and order pizza. The pizza that we get never adds up for a delivery charge and we needed something to drink so we got a soda...and cinnastix (we ordered from Domino's). They have an online pizza tracker that I have tried to use but it never works, however I really wanted to try and see if it would this time. Lucky us, it worked! It was cool because it told you who was making your pizza, and putting it in the oven and when the delivery person left the store. We pigged out and it was great. I figured since I am doing body attack I cant really do that too much next semester so it was my last hurrah! I swear pizza does something to us because after we put on music and mallory started dancing to "single ladies" by Beyonce. It was really funny and for anyone who knows me and mallory... we make a lot of music videos so of course mals dancing led to music videos! Hopefully Ill be able to post some of them soon.
HOME-
Its a little bittersweet to be home. About halfway through my drive I realized how much Im going to miss my "home" down in virginia, my friends, my jobs, field hockey (cant really play in feet of snow) and even all the little stresses I deal with and even though it all drives me crazy at least I call them mine. Well, it will be at least 3 weeks before I get back to that life so until then I have a lot to do while I am back in NY. I have a zillion dentist appointments, dang teeth!, and I have to continue working out on a daily basis as much as I can in the snow (which means using that treadmill, yay!) so when I get back I can handle Body Attack training, hah! Its going to be tough but I am so excited for it all. I also have an internship when I get back to school for the newspaper, the Paladin, as the business manager. Its a really exciting opportunity that I will have to juggle with classes, Body Attack, working at the Student Union and helping out with Management Society. It will be a very crazy semester but I have found that I am much happier, and more efficient when I am really busy. I think that was part of my problem this past semester. I had classes and field hockey but I had a lot of free time because I did not work too much and I got bored and would just put everything off. A busy schedule for some reason tends to make me deal with everything better. Hows that for irony?

One left!!
I have made it through finals week, YES! Im alive, barely, and still kicking and I really cannot wait to finish my last exam. Algebra was on wednesday, and I am pretty sure I got at least a B on the test. It wasnt the easiest but I brought my ipod, zoned out (or i guess in, to the test) and stayed for 2 hours. I am almost positive its the longest I have ever taken on a college final, but I felt really good about it when I left. This morning was Macro, which yeah.. it was the final wrap up of a really bad grade. I knew I was doing horribly, I just dont get the material but I am thankful for the opportunity I had to take the class and learn that I do not ever want to be an economist :-) Tomorrow is my Financial Accounting final and I feel pretty secure about it. I took an accounting course in high school and this test is pretty much covering everything I learned there with just a tad more depth to it. I dont think it will be too hard but I am ready to get it over with.
Sadly, it looks as if Mallory and I will not be leaving for home tomorrow but on saturday. Seems that there is a storm hitting a part of PA that we would be in, at the time we would be there if we left tomorrow after my test. There are also storms hitting back home in NY but if we leave early enough on saturday we should beat them and be fine. I also think I feel a little safer if something comes in closer to home, at least I know my area, if we get stuck in PA its not exactly friendly teritory.
On a better note though today I signed up to become an group fitness instructor... Me? I know! I thought the same thing. Last spring Mallory and I started going to this class called Body Attack on campus. Its a pretty intense aerobic workout lasting about 60 minutes (it starts as about 45 and builds until the end of the semester) that is run under the Les Mills fitness program. Its taught by a professor here named Tobie Bauman who amazes me every class. She is very high energy, very fit and so much fun. She really made me enjoy the class, and so Mallory and I did that all last spring semester. Then we started up this fall with a new attack program trying to get SVU to be a certified Les Mills training facility. Basically this means that we can train people to teach at our SVU location, it involves lots of hard work (and $190) but once you are certified (which happens after you send in a video at the end of your training and hours of instruction) you can teach in any location that offers these programs. Its great because when I go home over the summer I can teach at a local gym and make some money doing something I really love. It is very exciting and I was worried I wouldnt be able to have time to teach but it looks like I will and I really cant wait. Only slight downside is I really have to keep up my workouts over christmas break to make sure when we start learning the new lesmills program, my body is at least more prepared to handle it.
Okay well its house checks tonight and I really need to finish cleaning and packing! BYE!
oh yeah... I LOVE NY!

2 down, 3 to go :-)
So here is the countdown.
Finals - 2 down
3 to go
I took my Introduction to Drawing Final this morning and handed in my final for Health & Wellness. Both were fairly painless but I guess the pain will hit later on this week. On wednesday I have my College Algebra final, Thursday is Principles of Macroeconomics, and friday is Introduction to Financial Accounting (*and leaving for home!*). Ill be honest, Macro has been terrible all semester so this is just the final cap to it all, but I have a feeling Algebra is going to be a little challenge. I am really excited though because as they get done, I get closer to being able to going home. I am working on getting packed and will hopefully be moving tomorrow into my new dorm. Its amazing what happens when you say you will be moving. All of a sudden all of these RM's (return missionaries) come out of the woodworks and offer to help (because lets be honest, they did a lot of moving on their missions for older couples or families so the chance to help a young lady hah they jump lol). Okay, well I am going to get back to packing so hopefully I can take advantage of all the help Ill have tomorrow :-)
